Hive campers are really off-road capable compact camper trailers, strong and light enough to follow you wherever you dare to go.
Most of our trailers are built per order in Salt Lake City, Utah. Building them specifically for a clients allows them to spec or customize it to fit their personal needs. Our goal is to provide a camper that is always ready to go so you don’t waste precious time packing instead of adventuring and enjoying the outdoors. Trailers with very short setup time that can carry all your gear for a weekend adventure or a year long expedition.
We laser cut 100% of our aluminum and all precision steel parts. Plasma cut the steel frame tubes and some steel parts that have bigger tolerances. Every other material gets CNC cut. These processes ensures precise parts every single time.
Powder coating is more durable and resistant to corrosion, chemicals and weather than liquid coating and vinyl wraps. Every exposed surface surface is powder coated before assembly.
We’ve teamed up with top brands like Redarc, Battleborn and Renogy to provide the best system in the simplest manner. Our electrical systems allow easy trouble shooting if any fault is ever triggered as well as simple ways to upgrade down the road.
Every single bend gets done on a CNC press brake with a precision to a thousands of an inch. Doing this results in perfect fitting parts, which means less assembly time and perfect replacement parts in case of accidental damages down the off-road.
Our optional galavanized frames are hot dipped in a pool of molten zinc to produce a corrosion resistant, multi-layered coating of zinc-iron alloy and zinc metal before getting powder coated.
The final assembly process is done in 4 steps. The chassis, front end and cabin get assembled independently. All parts get married together and all the finishing work is done and tested.
Off-road campers need a combination of strength and flexibility. For this reason we use different methods like Mig welding for our steel frames, tig for all aluminum and a mix of mechanical fastners and flexible adhesives for assembly.
We only use the best of the best to unsure the longest lasting product. Prefinnished 18 mm Baltic Birch is our wood of choice. We have examples that are rolling around for over 8 years with any issues what-so-ever.
We at Hive are very proud of always looking for new ideas and ways to create new products or improve existing ones. We are a small company with a very strong design background and a few very creative minds.
